(1940-2024)
East Chatham, NY - Eric Corbett Williams, 83, of East Chatham, NY died on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Albany Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.
Eric was born on Christmas Eve, 1940 and grew up in Niagara Falls, NY, attended Niagara University and SUNY Buffalo School of Law. He worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigation from 1965 to 1996 assigned to FBI field offices in Tennessee, Indiana, New York City and FBI HQ in Washington D.C. After his “retirement” Eric began working and volunteering at Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, MA pursuing his lifelong love of the theater. Eric also loved his second career of almost 20 years working at Home Depot in East Greenbush, NY.
He was predeceased by his father Russell Edgar, mother Elinor Corbett, and sister Megan Corbett Bozek.
Eric is survived by his loving family which includes his wife of 58 years Nancy (Greenwald) Williams of East Chatham, NY, son Christian Corbett Williams, daughter in law Jane Williams, daughter Chloe Anne Pesco, and grandchildren Christian Corbett Williams II, Erin Quinn Williams, Stephanie Sedlak Williams, Madison Lynn Pesco, Justin Joseph Pesco and brother in law Matthew John Bozek Jr, niece Caitlin Corbett Bozek and friend Joseph Anthony Pesco, as well as many caring Greenwald’s.
A private funeral service and celebration of life will take place in the future at Mountain View Cemetery in New Concord, East Chatham, NY.

Eric was a good and congenial neighbor. …always willing to pitch in with any Society of New Concord event or project. We in New Concord will miss him.
