We have a new Community Hall Roof!

Work on Our Community Hall Roof was completed the first week of September! This is the fruition of our “Raise the Roof” campaign—A long time coming. Thank you all for helping to preserve your buildings.

On June 8th and 9th, a cadre of volunteer neighbors began to strip the rotted roof from our Community Hall and roll on a waterproof underlayment. Over the course of three additional weekends portions of the wooden roof structure were replaced, and the entire roof was prepped with a waterproof layer of underlayment.

The crew included your neighbors:

  • Steve Anderson

  • Beau Fraser

  • Rick Karpinski

  • Karla Kavanaugh

  • Jim Klingler

  • Bill Sohmer

After the repairs and prep work, the roofer, Dan Joyce, manufactured and installed—over the course of about 2 weeks—the all-metal (galvalume) standing-seam roof.

A thing of practical beauty…it should last for most of our lifetimes.
